Through the lens of the camera, I always feel that the streets take on a new life. Walking the streets and shooting what you see starts to capture the essence of an area, the people in it, and the moments that make up everyday life.

The streets pulse with energy, the crowds moving in a constant ebb and flow. The photographer watches and waits, searching for the perfect shot, the perfect moment to capture.

Faces become characters, each with their own story to tell. The tourists, the locals, the workout devout, all coming together in a tapestry of life. DC breathes with a life of its own, and the photographer becomes a part of it, capturing the moments that define it.

There's a beauty to street photography, a rawness and honesty that's hard to find anywhere else. It feels authentic to me with less varnish, less filter, less perfection, and more grit.

When a photographer is able to capture those moments, it's magic. The perfect moment, frozen in time forever. The true grit and essence of an area, captured in a single frame.

I aspire to have one or two of those in my lifetime.
